2026/Passion Planet/BBC1 - I was director of photography for Sir David Attenboroughs final film; returning home in his 100th year to share natural history stories from his own city.
UNDERDOGS
2023-2024/Wildstar/Nat Geo - I was director of photography for three sequences on the first series: jewel wasp parasitising cockroach, nursery web spider forging nuptial gifts, megapodes in New Britain.
INCREDIBLE ANIMAL JOURNEYS
2022/Plimsoll Productions/Nat Geo - I shot the freshwater showers taken by returning rockhoppers before reuniting with their mate. Nominated for Outstanding Cinematography Emmy.
PLANET EARTH 3
2022/NHU/BBC1 - Filmed garter snakes hunting fish on the Pacific coast of Canada.
A REAL BUGS LIFE
2021/Plimsoll Productions/NatGeo - Principal DOP for the Big City episode set in NYC. Winner Outstanding Cinematography Emmy, Winner Cinematography Award at Greenscreen, Nominee for Best Cinematography RTS.
WILDING
2020-2022/ Passion Planet/Cinema doc - I was principal DOP on the most successful theatrical documentary of 2024, a feature doc recreating the story of Isabella Tree and Charlie Burrells struggle to return a small patch of West Sussex to wildness.
FROZEN PLANET 2
2021/NHU/BBC1 - Filming chameleons on the freezing slopes of Mount Kenya.
SUPER/NATURAL
2020/Plimsoll Productions/Nat Geo - Director of photography for a number of sequences. Nominated for Outstanding Cinematography Emmy.
TINY WORLD
2019/ Plimsoll Productions/AppleTV - I was the principal DOP on the Garden episode, filming the majority of sequences, including black bellied hamster, midwife toad, garden ants, aphids, starlings, leopard slug and zebra jumping spider. I also shot the tenrec sequences for the Rainforest episode in Madagascar. I developed the use of translights for the Garden episode, which was rolled out across the series.
ONE STRANGE ROCK
2016-2017/Nutopia/Nat Geo - I shot fifteen sequences across nine episodes of Darren Aronofsky’s portrait of our planet.
FORCES OF NATURE
2014-2016/BBC Science/BBC1 - Many shoots across this landmark series with Professor brian Cox. Winner of the cinematography award at Jackson Hole and nominated for a cinematography Emmy.
GALAPAGOS WITH DAVID ATTENBOROUGH
2012/Atlantic/Sky/IMAX - 3D series about the natural history of the Galapagos Islands. Director of photography. (RED EPIC).
FLIGHT OF THE BUTTERFLIES
2011/SK Films/IMAX - 3D IMAX feature about the 3000 mile migration of the monarch butterfly. Director of photography.
